The Data Protection Consent request by Allianz Care seems inconsistent with the Data Protection Regulations.
What is the position of Afiliatys?

This touches on the issue raised by Afiliatys on this very sensitive matter, and was on the agenda of a progress monitoring meeting held on January, 10th with the managers of ALLIANZ CARE.
It has been confirmed during this meeting that Allianz Care will follow the letter and spirit of the Directive about Data Protection published on May, 25th, 2018.

In this respect, the management of Allianz Care confirmed that all future documents (for new subscribers and for the transfer of existing contracts) will be updated in the coming days.

Cross compliances shall be removed.

In the meantime, any inadequacy with the Directive is to be considered as null and void, and will not be a problem whatsoever regarding the transfer of your coverage, (confirmed in all cases since January, 1st, 2020) or your subscription.

In that light, and taken into account the difficulties encountered by some Members to finalise their files within the required timeframes, ALLIANZ CARE extended the deadline to March, 31st, 2020, with the guarantee that the cover was successfully transferred since January, 1st, 2020.  (Official document available HERE)

In parallel, we draw your attention to the Cigna clause on data protection linked to the medical questionnaire (and maintained for their supplementary insurance contract).  This notice was updated in May 2018, in a text stipulating : « By using Cigna’s Services, you are consenting to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
